class="content__text" SAY HIS NAME: DONNELL ROCHESTER Donnell Rochester was an 18 year-old child and Baltimore native who was murdered by Baltimore police in his car. Baltimore police murdered him while pursuing an alleged bench warrant. Many news outlets are referring to Donnell as an 18 year-old man as if he still wasn’t a child when his life was taken. This country’s perception of Black boys automatically being seen as men because Black means “dangerous”is killing our children. We have seen this with Tamir Rice, Ma’Khia Bryant and now Donnell Rochester. class="content__text" Say Her Name: Amarey Lej! On New Years Day, Amarey was murdered in the Wilkinsburg section of Pennsylvania. She was only 21 years old. The uncertainty of being able to live as a Black Transgender Person is devastating. 2021 was the deadliest year on record for Transgender & GNC People, a reality that could not be forgotten because at the literal start of the year Amarey’s life was taken.
