class="content__text"💛Your nutrition insurance going into the winter months 🇬🇧If you are living in the UK, you may be feeling a little more de-energised, sluggish and also lower in mood going into these winter months. If it makes you feel any better, I feel this too! 🫠 🙋It can feel much easier to throw our well-being out the window in these months, but it’s more important than ever before to try and retain a level of self-care for yourself. For me, these are my 3 winter non-negotiable when it comes to my health 👇 ☀️Vitamin D and Omega 3: With shorter days, it is advised by Public Health England to supplement with vitamin D to compensate for less sun exposure. I love to use @minami_health Platinum because it is an amazing way to entwine omega 3 and vitamin D in one supplement. Omega 3 is one of the important co-factors your body needs to absorb vitamin D, so keeping a check on your levels is important! If you are worried about your vitamin D levels, you should talk to your GP to ask for a blood test.  🧘‍♀️Self-Care: Listen to your body. If you need to rest, do so. Self-care is not just about staying active; it’s also about giving yourself permission to relax. 🫘Fibre: Load up on lots of plant-based goodness to keep your gut health strong as this is where 70% of your immune system is made!    These are my 3 winter non-negotiable’s and do make sure when you buy a Vitamin D supplement you choose vitamin D3 over D2 - like Miami Platinum offers #AD

You know how passionate I am combining mental health and nutrition, so here is my key tip for you 🫶 🚶‍♀️When we walk after eating, our muscles become active glucose consumers, leading to a smaller peak in blood sugar levels. This isn’t about intense, hour-long workouts. Even a short, 15-minute stroll can make a real difference. It’s a time when your bloodstream is rich in nutrients, and your muscles efficiently absorb excess glucose. 🧠 Stable blood sugar is key to maintaining not only your physical health but also your mental well-being. Fluctuations in blood sugar are often behind those moments of fatigue, irritability, and difficulty in keeping your mind focused. So the next time you finish your meal, instead of slumping on the sofa do a small walk to get those mood-boosting effects! My life has taken me down a huge variety of paths. I believe this has really enriched my life, giving me a full, rounded and open perspective of the people and world around me. Here are some of my career highlights from the most recent years, for those who may only see one side or not know too much about me! - TEDx Talk “Are models, role models” - Lead nutritionist and speaker at the European Parliament regarding our dietary requirements - Being asked to be the lead nutritionist for 3 years on Harley St - Being named women of the year by Rake magazine for bringing nutrition to the forefront in 2020 - Founding the mental health organisation the Be Well Collective and holding summits with over 500 people in each, over 20 workshops and launching two mentoring programs to support young minds - Radio interviews (the picture captured we spoke to 40 stations in one day) - Launching our Live Well Be Well videos and Live Well Be Well podcast - Writing for copious publications including Women’s Health, the FT, Esquire, Harpers Bazaar and the Evening Standard (pictured was my first-ever publication) - Interviewing unbelievable minds such as Professor David Nutt, Professor Tim Spector and Professor Giles Yeo All the while, spending the last decade holding down a modelling career that has its own pressures and judgments both inside the industry and out.
