class="content__text" Sunset over the central plateau of Tasmania 🌅 If I had to pinpoint the most memorable moment of the trip, it would be this night 🫶🏻 Sitting out watching the sunset whilst wallabies and tasmanian devils scampered around us grazing and playing was truly magical 🧡 not to mention that we then went on to see the aurora australis aka the southern lights! it felt like true wilderness and I’ve never felt closer to nature ✨ #wilderness

class="content__text" Welcome to the Central Plateau of Tasmania 🇦🇺 The Central Plateau Conservation Area is a wild place of sub-alpine moorlands in the isolated centre of Tasmania. It has no proper roads - other than a road that runs along the border - and is often referred to as ‘the land of a thousand lakes’ ✨ If you venture off the beaten track and visit the central plateau to bushwalk or fish you will have this vast area almost entirely to yourself 🫶🏻 I really recommend you add this less-visited area to your Tasmania itinerary!

class="content__text" Cradle Mountain National Park Guide👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 "This must be a National Park for the people for all time." So declared Gustav Weindorfer from the summit of Cradle Mountain in 1910. So how do you go about visiting? Where is Cradle Mountain National Park? It’s located in the centre of Tasmania, an island off the south-east coast coast of Australia. How do I visit? You cannot drive your own vehicle in or out of the park during the operating hours for the park shuttle buses (8am - 6pm). You will need to park at the visitor centre just outside of the park and take a shuttle but to the park - the buses stop at the start points for the main walks. Do I need to pay? Yes, you need a parks pass to enter any national park in Tasmania. A day pass can be purchased for about 20 AUD each in the visitor centre, however if you are visiting several parks it may be cheaper to purchase a multi-park pass to last several months. What facilities are there in the park? There are no food facilities once you enter the park so purchase before you get on the shuttle bus. There are bathrooms at the major car parks. Best walks? Cradle Mountain Summit (very hard) Dove Lake Walk (easy) Hanson’s Peak (medium) Marion’s Lookout (medium-hard) The Enchanted Walk (very easy) Save these tips for later! 👆🏻

class="content__text" Tasmania - the little island on the edge of the world 🫶🏻 This is Cradle Mountain, one of the most recognisable attractions in Tasmania - located in Cradle Mountain National Park, its iconic shape overlooking Dove Lake draws thousands of visitors to hike the 20+ trails nearby 🥾 But if you want a real challenge you have to climb the mountain itself! 8 hrs return, 12.8km, 600m climb in elevation, it is definitely challenging (there is a lot of steep, exposed scrambling) but totally worth it for amazing views over Dove Lake and the whole park 💪🏻 Would you climb Cradle Mountain?

class="content__text" If you’re having a bad day today, just remember it’s already tomorrow in Australia 🇦🇺🫶🏻 Bondi Beach is my favourite place in Sydney and absolutely where I would dream of living! So as an ode to this perfect mix of city and beach, here are my favourite things to do there: 🏄🏻‍♀️ Take a surfing lesson! I went with Let’s Go Surfing 🥂 Have a fancy brunch/lunch at Bondi Icebergs (and watch the swimmers in the pool below) 🥯 Grab a bagel to go from Lox in a Box and sit on the beach or on the grass behind it 🏃🏻‍♀️ Do the Bondi to Coogee walk and stop off at some of the other beaches on the coastline for a swim

class="content__text" Come with me to walk the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk! 👋🏻 This 6km walk is one of Sydney’s most iconic as it takes in some of the most beautiful beaches along the coastline! Bonus - you only need a couple of hours to do it 😉 Start in Bondi with brunch (or maybe a surf lesson!) and end in Coogee with a visit to the Coogee Pavilion for lunch, coffee or drinks on the rooftop! ☀️ Have you done the Bondi to Coogee walk? 👇🏻 #bonditocoogee #bonditocoogeewalk

class="content__text" Had a blast hiking in La Fortuna 🌋 The town of La Fortuna was the first stop on our trip to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 La Fortuna is best known for the Arenal Volcano which stands imposingly over the town and which heats the many surrounding hot springs 🔥 Until 2010, Arenal was the worlds most active volcano with constant activity and eruptions 💥 now it is in a period of inactivity (made me feel more comfortable tbh 😂) although it puffs out toxic gases regularly! To get up closeish (it’s illegal to climb it for safety reasons) and to hike the trails that surround it I recommend visiting Arenal Volcano National Park 🏞
