class="content__text" Steve I met you on my 17th birthday in Tokyo with @tabithasimmons when I tagged along to a Pulp show. It was the height of Brit Pop and you were a superstar! You were then as you were always, a rare down to earth, wickedly smart, kind and curious man with a ton of integrity. I had the joy to collaborate with you a few times over the years from music to fashion. You were one of those creatives who could do just about anything. One of the most beautiful things about you however was your love for Katie @kegrand because you were both clearly each others best friend and partner for life. I love you Katie and sending you, Marley, his parents and all his closest friends all the love I can muster. 💔 Rest in Peace Steve Mackey

class="content__text" Belated thank you post to EVERYONE who contributed to See You Me with @emilydorio and I. It’s not lost on me all the creative energy, time, encouragement and favors we were given and shown. Makes me misty eyed thinking about it. If that wasn’t enough the turn out was spectacular, thank you everyone both friend and stranger alike who came to the show and supported Emily and myself It’s not lost on me how fortunate we are to have a thriving and supportive creative community in Nashville. class="content__text" I’m outraged that Tennessee lawmakers passed a bill banning drag shows in public on Thursday. Since the dawn of recorded history humans have been playing with the idea of gender identity both in theater and in a variety of creative mediums. Drag shows are joyous events and they’ve helped many find a place of refuge and are a form of self expression. Drag is art. Drag is performance. Drag influences us and is an important form of expression. I fear more the lawmakers who are so puritanical and maniacal than I ever would a drag performer. The shame is ours.
