In one the last scenes of my favorite show The Office, Ed Helms who plays Andy Bernard AKA The Nard-Dog, said ““I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” It is one of my favorite quotes and a reminder to be more present, which is one of my main goals for 2022, to be more present with the people I love and care about, because I realize that when I am fully present I am fully at peace, I sleep knowing I gave everything to the people and things that matter most. To me that’s the life I want to live, that when all is said I done I lived with all my heart and the people that matter most to me knew that inshAllah. Only married people can understand how you can be miserable and happy at the same time 🤣❤️ In this moment I’m happy to be eating somewhere nice with my forever person, so it’s all good right? Well not exactly, you see I also know that there’s a high likelihood that later on we’ll be having a fierce debate on the appropriate volume the TV should be or what the appropriate walking speed should be when we walk together in public. I know you think we should have these things figured out by now, but what I've learned is that the key to a long lasting relationship is understanding that you will never have these things figured out, that even when we are old and gray InshAllah we will still be arguing over these very same things, miserable but very much in love 🤣❤️ الحمدلله
