I hope 2 months of stress is worth it 🤪 Today was a fun-filled day w participating in doing a part for the society, in-lieu of International Women’s day in March! class="content__text" (Keep watching for secret move 😛❤️) IZZZZZ FRIDAY Y’ALL!!!!! ✨ I felt like I just had the longest week… preparing for what we cal thesis defense (defending your thesis idea in front of all professors in the dept to ensure you get a pass so you can write your thesis FOR REAL) But phew!!!! Yest at least my professor kinda got what I was trying to get at and on Monday, comes the day where my life as a masters student will be decided to be coming to an end or going even further than that… 😖 so nervous but, I felt like through this journey I have learnt a lot and also, gained a lot of friends and help along the way, I feel so blessed I wanna jot it down Thankful to of course, le husband, for supporting me through this journey (tho you dont undertake sometimes why I’m so stressed is just me and my own expectations), my friends like Garam, Jihyang, Suyeon, Sohyun and everyone else in the lab that has played such a big part in my life here at KU. My friends outside of school that shower unconditional love and support, telling me I can do it no matter how bad I fail at life, and of course, my family in SG and KR for caring just the little parts of me 😭🙏🏻 Jeanette couldn’t have done life in Korea without all of you (also those of you who can help in my thesis survey)!!! 🫶🏻 a little more to go so I’m hanging in there!!! ^^ 진짜 여기 오기 전에 대학원생활 만만해보여서 너무 미안하고 너무 후휘 되지만 이제 거의 다 왔으니 너무나 기특한데 아직도 끝이 아니니깐 떨리기도 하지만 기대됩니다!!! 졸업 할 수 있다면 아마 한국에서 처음으로 승리 하는 느낌 들고 아…. 진짜 빨리 왔으면 좋겠어요!!! ^^ Thank you for reading till here!!! class="content__text" ME?! OBSESSED W YOU????? YESSSS 😛 Today we randomly went out for a walk near our neighborhood because it is a public holiday in South Korea! Nothing romantic nor special, but I realized it’s the small little moments that make it count ✨ we have been struggling w things in our lives recently, be it together or our individual lives and today I realize how powerful are conversations shared from the heart with no strings attached. I talked about how I feel in my struggles and how I deal with it, how it became negative to positive and how it became a blessing from God. When he did the same, I think we found another way of appreciating one another for who we are and for what we go through and that in itself is a miracle in a very normal day! class="content__text" 🤭🤭🤭 내 인생에서 이런 전통 문화 하려 하는 생각도 못했어, 하지만 그때는 나의 인생에서 가장 멋진 순간 중 하나이다 🔥 I never thought I would do this traditional Korean tea ceremony in my life 🫣 (I even did not want to do the Chinese one in Singapore but fair-fair hahaha) This ceremony is called “pae-baek” (페백) where apart from serving tea to the elders and the younger generation serving tea to us, there is another tradition of eating traditional Korean snacks too 🇰🇷🥰 After which, the husband’s side family (father in law and mother in law) will throw dates and chestnuts onto a piece of traditional cloth and that represents the number of children the couple is going to have after marriage… (we got a whole lot 😂 tho I tried to doge it)! It was a very cute and interesting experience, a tradition that has been disappearing in today’s time just like many others in the world. class="content__text" 오랜만에… 내 사진! 영상 말구 그냥 한 순간의 나 😌 이번주 월욜 중요한 서류 제출 하고 나서 하려고 하던 것들 아무것도 제대로 못하고… 집에 일이 계속 생기고… 촬영도 계속 밀렸는데… 오늘은 드디어 끝났다. 근데 ‘다음주 또!!! 해야지’ 라는 생각이 떠울리면… 아우… 우울해 진다 말야 ㅠㅠ 그리고,,,,,,,, 공부 아직 다 완성 하지 않아서… 다른 일을 하면 안되는 생각 들고… 시간 비우면 또 다른 일 생기고… 내 일을 끝내지 못한 내 자신에 대해 죄책감을 느끼면서… 공부를 해야 하지만 집중할 수가 없구…. 네… 그렇습니다 😞 (미친 사람 타이핑 인것같애… ㅋㅋ) With this post I just wanted to say, I’m trying very hard to juggle everything in life and is not easy, but life is just not that easy… there’s always all kinds of battles we fight day in and day out… and I am just thankful I’m here even to type these words as a reminder of the grace of God upon me 💚 As such, I pray and hope now that I’m done w work and resting (I keep reminding myself is rest not a slack off) I can truly focus on my 본업 as a 석사 학생 tomorrow and get my ppt and surveys up… so I can get it running and prepare for another week ahead… defense is in another week and let’s just get over and done with because I have another exam at the end of the month… 휴 끝이 없다 진짜 ㅜㅜ Ok before I talk more nonsense and rant, just wanted to say to whoever read to the end of this post, THANK YOU BLESS YOU and if you’re facing the same thing, you’re not alone 🖤 우리 좀만더 힘내고 이겨내자!!!! 내 자신이 내가 지켜야지!!!! 💪🏼 (P.S. this churros was really nice tho I queued super long for it hahaha I’m a suckaaa for hyped sh** at least I got a pretty decent photo in eons) 👅 #singaporeaninkorea #koreacafe #trendyfood #seoulfood #seoultravel
