Almost fully dressed in its glass facade, the Malmö Courthouse totalling 33,000 m2 is nearing exterior completion. The five interconnected towers rest on a brick base. The brick tiles have been carefully layed by hand in patterns specifically designed for the building. The Malmö Courthouse is realised in collaboration with Castellum, KG Constructions, Peab and Schüco International KG, and the inauguration is planned for early 2023.

We are bringing another accessible green roof to the city of Aarhus, adding an urban park to the roof atop the six-story department store @sallingdk. Access to the rooftop is free and open to the public, and more than 3.5 million people have already visited Salling Rooftop since it’s opening in 2017-- ten times the total number of residents in the city of Aarhus. The expansion of the rooftop comes as a welcome addition to one of Aarhus most popular attractions, adding a total of 1,400 m2 green public space to the city center. Where the existing 2.000 m2 rooftop offers a café with outdoor seating, events, and live music, the new park will offer a more tranquil space in the middle of the city. The project is in collaboration with @rambollgroup and is funded by the Salling Foundations. It is set to open for the public in the summer of 2022, with construction slated to begin later this year.

We're excited to have the Biotope shortlisted in this year's @mipimworld Awards! Originally conceived as Lille’s bid for the European Medicines Agency, the building continues the original intent of recreating the office typology along three tenets for health: light, air, and nature. In the absence of space for a seperate ground level park, we have made the footprint of the building and the park one and the same. Earlier today, Sonja Stockmarr, Global Design Director Landscape, spoke at the @2021p4gseoulsummit on creating resilient cities through landscape design. The P4G Summit brings together heads of state, business leaders, NGOs, government officials, and researchers from all over the world to address the climate crisis and reach the goals of the Paris Agreement. Where other cities have a skyline, Bergen has a "sea-line". We are honored to have our masterplan selected as one of the designs to revitalize the waterfront at Inner Laksevåg! Bergen Puls creates a new urban and recreational district at the intersection of city, harbor, and mountainside. Taking full advantage of the city's abundant nature, we propose a doubling of the current usable waterfront with areas for living, working, and playing. We are thrilled to be designing a new church in Skanderborg, Denmark! In addition to being a new public gathering point for a growing residential community, Højvangen Church will be the first church built in Skanderborg Parish in over 500 years. The design reinterprets traditional Danish church design to create a flexible and timeless space that can form the background of religious ceremonies as well as community events. With no apparent front or back and an openness to it's surrounding, Højvangen Church creates a space for both sacred moments and everyday life to take place. In collaboration with @espen.surnevik, @schul_landskabsarkitekter, and @rambollgroup.

Our design for the Frederiksbjerg School in Aarhus, Denmark supports a truly active form of education. With playgrounds, a basketball court, climbing walls, and a running track, there are an almost unlimited number of ways to move throughout the building. Completed in 2016, the school is one of the first to meet the updated standards of the National Danish Reform of Public Schools.
