We are thrilled to be designing a new church in Skanderborg, Denmark! In addition to being a new public gathering point for a growing residential community, Højvangen Church will be the first church built in Skanderborg Parish in over 500 years. The design reinterprets traditional Danish church design to create a flexible and timeless space that can form the background of religious ceremonies as well as community events. With no apparent front or back and an openness to it's surrounding, Højvangen Church creates a space for both sacred moments and everyday life to take place. In collaboration with @espen.surnevik, @schul_landskabsarkitekter, and @rambollgroup.
