class="content__text" Take-Two Interactive has announced a major shakeup at Firaxis Games, including a new studio head and the exits of two notable leaders. On top of that, the publisher revealed that the developer is now working on the next entry in the Civilization franchise. Heather Hazen is taking over as studio head at Firaxis, replacing Steve Martin, who is leaving after 25 years with the team. He didn't provide a comment on his departure, but 2K President David Ismailer said he was "deeply grateful" to Martin. Meanwhile, Hazen has been chief operating officer at the developer since 2020. class="content__text" While Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo may not be a part of E3 2023, Ubisoft said it will be at the show if it happens. On Ubisoft's Q3 2022-23 investors call, CEO Yves Guillemot responded to an investor asking if the company planned to "attend the event in person this year" to show its games. class="content__text" God of War: Ragnarok developer Santa Monica Studio didn't realise that allies spoiling in-game puzzles would be annoying for players wanting to solve everything themselves. As reported by Games Radar, Ragnarok's narrative director Matt Sophos and story lead Richard Gaubert told MinnMax that the feature, which fans voiced as a point of frustration, was an oversight of the development team. "It didn't get exposed to us really until after the game came out, because even when it had play tests we never saw feedback about the characters talking too much or spoiling things too quickly," said Sophos. class="content__text" IO Interactive has addressed complaints about the difficulty in Hitman: World of Assassination's new Freelancer mode. While a few clarifying changes are coming, the developer has explained its choices and why the difficulty of Freelancer is staying the same. On a blog post on the Hitman official website, the developers explain the logic behind how the Freelancer mode works and what it frustration points are. Some frustration comes from the possibility of losing a campaign, upon which progress restarts. Some players felt that this was too hardcore, but IO wanted to make sure winning a campaign feels like a big deal and that the "adrenaline rush" from mistakes or failure in certain missions is preserved. class="content__text" The NPD Group recently shared the Top 10 best selling games of 2022. The NPD Group tracks sales and consumer data across 20 different industries however companies choose not to share some of there data. For example, Nintendo does not share digital sales data on their games, despite this pokemon appears twice on this list.
