class="content__text" Pardon this break from my usual content— Yesterday, we said goodbye to an essential part of our family. Oh Penn, I love you more than I can possibly put into words. You taught me the definition of unconditional love. You are the most brave, sweet, pure & loving animal I have ever had the blessing of knowing. You brought immeasurable joy & comfort to our lives & for that I am eternally grateful. I hope we did the same for you. When we first found you, we realized pretty quickly what a special dog you were. I still to this day don’t know what we did to deserve you. How lucky we are to have you as a part of our family. I know we found you & you found us for a reason. I will deeply deeply miss your extremely handsome little weenie sausage body, your spunky personality, your kisses, & your endless love. The way you wore your little striped sweaters & bowties made everyone on the sidewalk smile. You brought joy & comfort to all. The hole in my heart is big. Until we meet again buddy, I’ll carry your little spirit with me ❤️ I know it’s only goodbye for now. Everyone who ever met our little old man loved him. If Penn brought joy to your life, I encourage to you make a donation in his name to All Mutts Matter Foundation (his rescue) or your local rescue to help other doggies. If you ever get the opportunity to rescue or care for a senior doggy, please do it. Old dogs can learn new tricks.

class="content__text" I decided to do a duet…with my 14 year old self. In 2009, I went to a recording studio & we got it all on tape- courtesy of my Dad’s camcorder of course. (Not sure what’s happening with my bangs or outfit…) I initially covered the song because I had heard @kellyclarkson sing it, so naturally I wanted to. That hasn’t changed. Still a Kelly stan. class="content__text" Today marks 10 years since I moved to NYC. On this day in 2012, I arrived at my downtown NYU freshmen dorm ready to take on the world. Second picture was taken on move-in day (obviously posing in my window to be “artsy” 🫠 with @anthonybracco who convinced me to go to NYU in the first place). Since that very first day, I’ve had many more memorable ones. Like our graduation day at radio city (slide 3), and the roof of our midtown apartment @callyourcobb (slide 4). Today, 3 dorms and 4 apartments later I’m still here. Living here is not always rainbows & unicorns, sometimes a city of 8 million people can actually feel very lonely. Sometimes the rent, the MTA, and the garbage makes me want to scream. But luckily, not a single person will even blink an eye if you scream or cry in public. No one cares. Not a single soul. You do you. Anything goes. That’s the reason I came here in the first place. You can be or do anything. Or at least that’s what’s promised. Everyday is a new chance to “make it.” I’m still trying to figure out what that means. New York is a complicated gal. I’ve lived here for ten years and I still haven’t figured her out.
