Shout out to @bglandscapetours for the hot tip on where to stay and some locations to visit. Climbed up here for sunrise. Another goat track …. (not as fit as I thought I was!) It’s an iconic spot but it sure is magical and I’m so thankful I’ve had this opportunity to add it to my portfolio. class="content__text" It was a long time coming but my visit to the Dolomites was everything I could have wished for and more! The Z7 got the workout of its life and I have hundreds of images to trawl through. This hike with @dreamphotographyworkshops was a highlight. It was a challenge in places as we got used to trying to breathe in the high elevation but everyone made it still smiling. Walking out in the dark was a privilege! Turns out that Bill’s last job before he left Twizel in 1978 was to oversee the making and planting of 2 predator free islands in Lake Ruataniwha. This one was called Bradies Island at the time but neither of us know if that is still it’s name? He was thrilled to see how good it looks today with all the trees grown and showing off their Autumn colour. He sent me the nicest message thanking me and saying the print will soon have pride of place on display. class="content__text" Back from my road trip down south. Normally longer but I’ve got stuff to do before I head off on my first international in quite some time. Started editing today … pretty happy with how things went. Found some new spots, called in to a few faves and didn’t get seasick on the ferry this time… the last one is best not talked about! I’ve been putting in a little time on Photoshop trying to teach myself some new tools. I had a play with my own sky and the sky replacement tool for the first time just for fun and this is the result.
