class="content__text"It’s here!!! Our brand new children’s mental health journal is live!! We are so so proud of this. They arrived with us yesterday and they are pretty glorious if I do say so myself! It is. 3 month journal and comes with 110 pages of journal & positive mental health activities. The journal has spaces on every page to check in on feelings to help children process and acknowledge their feelings. A space for gratitude, mindfullness, positive affirmations, a ‘what’s on your mind’ section and a different journal prompt for every day that promotes: self confidence, self reflection, kindness, positive mindset & resilience. class="content__text"We have had lots of lovely new faces join us over here recently so we thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves! We are Abel & The Label (a.k.a Iz & Luke). I (Iz) started Abel and the label back in 2018/19. At the time I was a young mum (20 with two kiddos!) and desperately needed to get my creative outlet back and hopefully create something that could make an impact positively to children’s lives. Both Luke & I have struggled with our mental health growing up so although we had a our little people young, we knew we wanted to empower & inspire them to be their true selves. We are so passionate about mental health and leaving behind something positive that we strive to create happy things to help create happy minds. We started the business with literally nothing, and grew it to where we both work full time making it all work. We got married in December 2021 after 10 years together with our little people by our side. We will soon be welcoming our 3rd and final little person and we can’t wait! We LOVE colour, and I illustrate absolutely everything we sell myself. I adore creating, that feeling when I’m drawing with my music playing loud (normally Hamilton or the greatest showman) feels euphoric to me and I hope I get to do it every day for the rest of my life ⚡️💛 the name Abel and the label came from our son, Abel. He has autism (also another reason why were so passionate about inclusivity in everything we do!) and when he was younger he would run the label on his Ted’s bottom on his face to self soothe. And it was like pure magic. Nothing else mattered to him. In that moment he was purely himself, in that moment and just present. And I knew that’s the magic? That feeling of safety and comfort was what I wanted to capture and spread to every little person I could 💛 thank you so much for all of the wonderful support over the years & still today!
