class="content__text" There is a 50% infant mortality rate (due to waterborne illness) in many of the places we work around the world. That means roughly every other baby doesn’t make it. A sobering statistic. Fortunately, with the simple intervention of a water filtration system that statistic drastically changes. It’s not magic, just a technological process that can turn water that will hurt you into water that will help you. Simple as that. ​ ​Once this intervention is implemented there is a new trajectory for the recipients. Whether it’s now an infant being able to beat a staggering mortality statistic or just an uptick in school attendance because half the students aren’t out sick regularly from dysentery anymore, it’s significant. ​ ​This was a beautiful school that our team provided water filtration systems to in Bhutan last week. Performing a WASH (water, sanitation, & hygiene) intervention is always fun, but this one was especially good.
