Arriving on the red carpet in a custom #AtelierVersace tulle column dress embroidered with crystal, metallic leather, paillette, and tri-tone copper foil duchesse, an oversized foiled bow at the waist was unraveled to reveal a second look in verdigris—mirroring the transformation of New York's Statue of Liberty from bronze to oxidized green. The long duchesse train features a hand painted, foiled, and embroidered celestial map inspired by the 12 zodiac constellations decorating the ceiling of Grand Central Station. Gabrielle Union-Wade's gown gives tribute to the changing roles of women and the emerging Black activism which occurred during the Gilded Age. The dress is crafted in hand-linked metal crystal mesh with a plunging neckline and snatched waist, and features a platinum satin-effect lurex train topped with duchesse and a degradé of silk and hand-embroidered crystal flowers. An embroidered red flower at the waist pays direct homage to a gown worn by Diahann Carroll—a women’s rights activist and first African-American woman to win a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Dwyane Wade wears a contemporary reimagining of Gilded Age elegance, with a slightly oversized jacket and matching tailored pants crafted from white heavy satin, and worn shirtless. It is crafted from soft leather and silk jersey, draped from the right-hand side towards the back. Fedez translates Gilded Age extravagance into a modern tuxedo. The fitted blazer features double overlapped revers made from golden metal mesh, creating an opulent contrast with the black wool blazer. Cole Sprouse channels the excesses and stardom of the Gilded Age with a modernized take on suiting from the 1800s.
