 Danielle LaFramboise-Dodd (they/them), or yelley as they’re known here at UPSIDE, is our Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance. yelley and their team works with each production and manufacturing department to ensure our ingredients, processes, and finished products are of the best quality and meet our high standards for safety. 
 yelley’s first real job after earning their degree in biology was in the biopharma world at a vaccine manufacturing facility in Michigan. They didn’t know it at the time, but it was the beginning of their path toward a career in cultivated meat! Since then, yelley has spent over 15 years in the food industry, ranging from agricultural field sampling in the Salinas Valley, food microbiology testing in accredited laboratories, overseeing quality and safety in manufacturing facilities, and managing quality and safety programs for distribution centers and retail grocery. Their broad range of food industry experience plus their formative years in biopharma combine to form a unique skill set that has been critical in building our food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs here at UPSIDE Foods.
