The surface acting like a mirror to the underwater world. We came across the big old mamma Bottlenose on our way south. She looks like she will be bringing a new life into the world soon. class="content__text" When you capture a meaningful moment on film you always hope that the producers, editors, directors, executives and commissioners find a place for that footage in the program. I am so thankful for the Plimsoll creatives team that crafted the story in the ANIMAL series on Netflix. Who believed in the importance of this story beat. I have seen and filmed dolphins playing with trash before but this time it really felt like they were showing me this plastic bag. Bringing it back to the camera each pass, as if they were trying to show me that it does not belong in the ocean! To this day I still carry a small piece of this bag with me where ever I go to remind me of what we are doing to our planet and how by just bending down and picking up even just one piece can make a difference! One of the more intriguing critters that hides amongst the corkscrew anemones is the Penderson cleaner shrimp. class="content__text" Check out this groundbreaking footage of juvenile Blacktip Sharks hunting schools of Bonefish. Filming this unique behavior with the drone was easy…. The challenge was when diving underwater to try and capture this amazing phenomenon. These small blacktips were initially scared of me! Probably wondering if I was a larger predator like a hammerhead trying to snack on them! After several failed attempts these perfect predators finally adopted me into their shiver and played off my movements whilst corralling the bonefish.
