class="content__text" An ermine says hello. Was looking for some old files and came across this photo. Animal small in the frame usually doesn’t do good in IG but doesn’t matter I just love ermine.

class="content__text" Simba. One of the areas we encouraged our group to try was black and white. I can’t wait to see what they got from the trip. One morning we saw this male lion reunited with his pride of over 15 lions in the first ray of light. The pride kept walking slowly and all of a sudden they came across a lone buffalo in the deep bush. Without any hesitation they pounced on the buffalo. Witnessing the power of nature and the circle of life made us speechless for a long while.

class="content__text" Fox kits. Who needs some cuteness today? Don’t forget to check out the links in my profile. Will be posting the Kenya trip reports once I’m no longer sleeping 12 hrs a day.

class="content__text" This lion is called Chongo. He lost one eye in a fight with other lions. When we saw him, he was resting near a rock 200 feet from his 3 brothers. They once were a strong coalition of 6 male lions. Chongo has such a stunning face that our guide told us he’s his favorite lions of all. Masai Mara. Kenya. Stay tuned as I slowly came out of my hibernation/R&R to write some blogs and YouTube videos in the upcoming days before my trip to Tanzania. Don’t forget to check out the links in my profile for webinar, gear list etc.

class="content__text" And just like that, the encounter of the male lion in first light kicked started my most recent Kenya trip. Intrepid is what I would describe our group. We endured quite a lot of challenges yet we persevered and came home with lots of good shots. I can’t wait to see what everyone got. The light is amazing yet challenging in Kenya. Sunrise and sunset were short, sweet and fleeting. We made the best use of it while trying to be “creative” when the light got harsh in mid-day. I can’t wait to share with you more on here and YouTube. I probably will fail again posting YouTube videos but what the heck, I will just post what I want to say. Stay tuned. I’ve probably broken my record for the longest sleep this past week since coming back home. This photo was taken by a Nikon Z9 and Z400 2.8 tc. If you have any questions about the camera and lens please comment below as I’m preparing my next video on z9 and 400.

class="content__text" Turn on the volume. Have you heard a lion (cub) roar? It always brings a smile. It was an epic morning. We first saw a lioness walking with her 3 small cubs. Then they reunited with 3 other sister lionesses. It seemed they just caught a warthog. After they finished the meal, they started walking and looking for their cubs and at one point we saw about 8 cubs. Taken with Nikon z9 and z400 2.8 tc. Masai Mara. Kenya.

class="content__text" Forgive me for shaking a bit due to the excitement of a lion walking towards the camera direction. It meant even more because we had encountered lots of problems that morning hoping to find animals at first light. I’m glad none of us gave up and we tried our best.

class="content__text" A spring cub closeup, accepting our presence. The moment I saw this in my viewfinder I know it’s likely gonna be another ten years before I have such an encounter again. Because the last one was ten years ago. How life has changed in the last ten years. How many people were so close to me and are no longer around. Yet nature just repeats itself each year. They are having a tough life in their disappearing habitat, sharing this planet with us, while most of us are grinding everyday for daily chores.
