class="content__text" 🏮 Ming Dynasty Amidala 🏮 I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of AAPI Heritage Month and the eve of May 4th than to share my look from Dapper Day. When I saw this hanfu, I immediately thought of Padme Amidala’s throne room robe and I knew it had to be done. Leading up to stepping out my car in this outfit I was a fit of nerves, anxious of what people would say or how it would be received. It’s taken a while for me to get here…to embrace my roots and proudly showcase my culture. But here I am and I am now unafraid. The past few years have been monumental ones for the AAPI community.
