class="content__text" Birth Tip for Pros:⁠ ⁠ Jiggle the sitz bones to ease pushing and allow baby to come through the pelvis. Vibrate the sitz bones even while pushing is happening. The helper stands beside the birth giver who may be laying on their side or kneeling and resting securely on a ball or the raised head of a hospital bed. The helper cups the sitz bone and the muscle called the glute, and lifts it slightly (slightly means you aren’t moving the location of the person you are jiggling off the bed!). Lift the sitz bone slightly up and slightly outward and then jiggle the whole area. Start with tiny jiggles and then after one minute, cup the bone more securely, and begin to jiggle moderately (again not pulling them out of their secure kneeling position). Go for ten whole minutes or use your senses and observation to know how long. Before you stop, slow down and do smaller movements. ⁠ ⁠ You may see changes in the roundness of the buttocks and the expansion of the sacrum.
