class="content__text" Another memorable first for me during Tramp was getting asked to play @newportfolkfest in 2012. Newport is a unique place and this performance of Serpents holds a special place in my mind. This visit led to many more trips to the fort where I was welcomed by such a passionate and supportive community of artists, musicians and fans. Fast forwarding a few years, I’ll never forget how nervous I was to return to the Newport stage in 2017 but @missmargoprice was there to lift me up. Newport 2017 was my first performance since I had my son. I was insecure, vulnerable, weak. I was overwhelmed by my surroundings after being in the new mom bubble. I distinctly remember my mom and dad were with me, helping me with the baby (just a few months old) and Margo beelined right over to me and made me feel so welcome. That’s actually when we first met. She just knew exactly where I was at and she was so warm and inviting and encouraging and I felt so supported in that moment. As I reflect back on Tramp and Serpents, this performance at Newport in 2012 and subsequently the love from Margo in 2017 remain two of my favorite moments.
