I was invited by Ankua Eco Hotel to experience the countryside of Atlantico province in Colombia. 🇨🇴 Ankua Eco Hotel is one of the first sustainable hotels in Atlantico, surrounded by 20 hectares of fertile land with numerous fruit and vegetable plantations, lakes and a farm, near the town Usuacuri. And the nice thing, there are hardly any tourists to be seen. 🙌😊 The four available bungalows are located on a mountain and have the most beautiful views. class="content__text" Sorry for being away so long...🙈 I have been spending an incredible time in one of my favorite countries in the world: Argentina..🇦🇷 And even though I visited most destinations many times, I love to come back over and over again and discover new places. Puerto Madryn is one of the best places to spot whales and penguins. I recently visited @reservaelpedral at Punta Ninfas, a private natural reserve where you can spend the day. There is a great penguin colony and the beautiful thing is that there are only a few visitors a day allowed to visit, making you feel very special. You have to be respectful and maintain distance but look how close I was able to get.❤ During my visit there were eggs and young ones(swipe left). 😍 It's a beautiful experience. After your visit you will get a typical Argentine asado before you move back to Puerto Madryn. class="content__text" I am sure you have heard about "the end of the world city": Ushuaia in Argentina, have you? 🇦🇷😉 There are many things to do in Ushuaia Argentina but one of my favorite things is the beautiful hike to Laguna Esmeralda, a glacier lake surrounded by the Albino Glacier and the peaks of Las Torres and Cordón Toribio. 📸 It is actually a very accessible hike and easy to do on your own, leading you through different vegetation zones: Through forests, along beaver dams, peat bogs and moors.  It takes about 1.5 hours to get there and then the same way back. class="content__text" One of the most beautiful hikes in El Chaltén Argentina is the one to Laguna the los Tres.😍 It is also the hardest one, since you walk 10 km to get there and then the exact same 10 km back. Especially the last part of the trail is a tough and steep climb up. 🚶‍♀️ But once you are at the top you know what you did it for: The view is stunning. This little town is located at the foot of the Fitz Roy, an impressive mountain range in the Los Glaciares National Park. 🇦🇷 It is a true hiking paradise. You can go for amazing day hikes, walking straight from your hotel into the mountains. Trails are clearly marked, so you can easily do this on your own. 🚶‍♀️ My two favorite hikes are the ones to Laguna de los Tres and Laguna Torre. Both trails are around 10 km to get there and then the exact same 10 km back. class="content__text" Have you ever seen a volcano erupting just in front of you? 🌋 In Guatemala you can go on a two day trek and hike to the top of the Acatenango volcano.🗻 From here you have an incredible view of the Fuego volcano, one of the most consistently erupting volcanoes in the world, as there is an eruption almost every 20 minutes.😳 I did this tour before but wanted to do it again to take more pictures and get even better views. And it was even more amazing..❤ The first day you walk about 5 to 6 hours to the campsite, located at 3500 meters, where the views of the volcano are just impressive. From your tent you are able to watch eruption after eruption. And when it gets dark you won’t believe your eyes, when the lava becomes red (swipe left for all eruptions) It is not an easy hike especially the next morning when you hike to the 4000 meters high top at 4 AM in the morning (the cold, the wind, the altitude, you have no idea). But believe me, this trek is so worth it. class="content__text" Good morning everyone from the Lago de Atitlan in Guatemala. Isn't this the most amazing view ever? My little house in @LaFortunaatitlan is just a dream.😍 . . Lago the Atitlan is a beautiful lake, surrounded by three volcanos and many villages with all its own vibe and character. Most villages are very indigenous, where culture and traditions are still influenced by Maya people.🌍 I have visited the lake many times but I keep discovering new places, by visiting different villages all the time. I just can't get enough of these beautiful views and surroundings.
