class="content__text" BEFORE + AFTER : This week’s episode of the podcast is about small organizing projects you can do around the house during quarantine 🏡 Let me give you an example with this monster of a cabinet I literally JUST organized from start to finish in under 20 minutes while I took a phone call! ⏱ • This is a cabinet in our home office where I have kept some decorations and gifts. Being very minimal with decorations in general and not being much of the type to keep gifts on hand, I never really set up a system here - which is WHY it it slowly became a disaster 😱 • The straw that broke this camel’s back was that Paige started playing around and pulling stuff out of it lately (out of creativity, bless her heart) but that left me with a mess that bothered me every time I walked by these closed cabinets, knowing there was chaos behind them 💆🏻‍♀️ • Encouraged by my own advice in my own podcast episode 🤣 I grabbed a garbage bag, popped in my AirPods for my weekly call with our podcast editor, and started taking everything out, categorizing and weeding things out in the progress 👋🏼 • What I placed back were birthday decorations, Easter decorations, and springtime decor, plus gifts that I do keep on hand like Diptyque and Jo Malone candle sets from the Nordstrom anniversary sale, my fave @begoodforkids lotion for kids, and of course, THE soap sets 😉 These don’t take up a big footprint of storage space, but if I need a quick hostess gift or something, my absolute favorite items are there for me to grab 🎁 • Then finished up the whole thing with clear bins and chalk labels (both which I always have ready) and ta-da! Under 20 minutes and done 🎉 • I have no shame showing you the before pics, because everyone has disorganized areas of their home - even the most organized people.
