Hi DD family! Sorry I vanished. Maine kaha tha things are slow and calm out here because kyaut things take time, haina? I wanted to share some pictures of my cute little study that I renovated in October 2020. It is a part of the long neglected top floor of my Delhi home. This room represents the LEFT side of my Brain 😊. This room got a whole new life with the help of lots of duco, wooden tile flooring, decor and some paint. I’m a huge fan of up-cycling and restoring furniture. I loved the panelled doors of the wardrobe but they needed serious help. So, instead of changing them entirely, I had them repainted a yummy colour and added these super chic handles. . . Floating shelves made for a spacious but not bulky desk situation. . . I removed the mirror that was occupying precious space and added wooden shelves with a lovely bamboo lamp. . . In another area, I removed the white shelves blocking the wall and added a chic wooden mirror. . . My favourite part was the sliding pantry door with fluted glass that I added. Thank you @essajeesatelier for connecting me to @jbglass_ . It not only makes the room look more alive and classic, but also when lit up from inside, adds a lovely glow to the room. . . The star of the room of course is this stunning carpet from @itsborderlinestudio. It was love at first sight and they very kindly resized it for my room. Name of the blue shade on the cupboards is Souvenir. Dulux. More images coming up in part2! Ask any koshunz you have in comments!

Life is essentially meaningless. Not in a bad or good way. It just is. Everyday, each one of us works at seeking and creating meaning through things we do, consume, create and transcend. The only time deep meaning is handed over to us unconditionally is through our parents. Imagine meaning the whole world to someone, so much that they nurture an entire world and life for you. Regardless of longevity. Magical stuff. I guess that’s the meaning of life then. To be able to love yourself like you have been loved by those that loved you the most. I know I’m rambling and I’ve used the word meaning too many times. That’s me overcompensating for the lack of it in my life currently 🧿🦋

Say HI 🙌🏻 to @decordidii - My happy place dedicated to happy spaces 🛋📺🪴. Here we sit in peace and sip our tea/coffee while enjoying the beauty and sanctity of a happy space. We don’t speak of followers, engagement, virality. The only reach we know is when you reach out for your favourite cushion, when you engage with your peace of mind and where you follow your heart. Bass! Pandemic or not, your home is or rather should be the safest and most comfortable space for your body and soul. Everyone here knows I love home decor and like to play ghar ghar with every space I get. I’m no trained interior designer but guess what, nor are most people! Yet everyone wants a good home and some joy when they look at it haina? Like one must know how to cook (even if you aren’t a chef) because it’s essential, one must also know how to create a space that brings you peace. Changing things around and making something beautiful with what already exists is something that centres me. My work can be chaotic, my passion needn’t be :) We can all agree that every space can be made beautiful and peaceful. @decordidii is a little page where I plan to post my experiments with home decor, little wins and losses with interiors and lots of recommendations for anyone who loves a good home but not the process. @decordidii is a place where everything is slow, deliberate and to be enjoyed. Mostly it’s just a place where I post without anxiety and fear of being judged. It’s basically home, haina? 🪴 . . . . . . Ps: Thank you @kushakapila for suggesting the perfect name. The perfect extension of my mad universe.
