class="content__text" A friend asked about a trip to Norway @nicolewarne and I did years ago and it got me reminiscing, so I thought I’d bring out an old photo. Trolltunga, 2015

class="content__text" If anyone can correctly guess the number of dust spots on my sensor (as seen in this image), I’ll send them a Maelstrom book. Hint; it’s more than you think 🥲. In desperate need of a sensor clean 😅

class="content__text" Really excited to share this image of the latest @wavelengthsurfmag Nothing beats a page 1, thanks for the support Toby and the team and congrats on a poignant and beautiful publication. ——- Welcome to volume 263. In this edition we meet custodians of our planet and our pursuit. We start on a yacht in Tahiti before quickly changing tack to wrangling fascism in the Iberian Peninsula of the 1970’s and taking a time warping hike somewhere in North America. We explore direct action campaigns with Surfrider and the Fight for the Bight, speak to polymaths in Cornwall and Hawai’i, and explore the gifts of the ocean with Lauren Hill. From surfing and soil and ethical consumption to sustainable tourism in the Galapagos Islands, with a sprinkle of 60’s inspired surf nostalgia, this edition celebrates our waves, our culture, our planet and those fighting to protect it all. With thanks, as usual, to Mother Earth for making it all possible.

class="content__text" The Terminator Line 29th July - 20th August @michaelreid.artbar From the exhibition catalogue: “Continuing his exploration of the themes of balance and duality, the images that make up The Terminator Line begin an investigation focusing on the interplay between light and movement. The Terminator Line refers to a constantly moving line that divides a planetary body from light to darkness. A time of impermanent contemplation, pure elemental immersion. Shadbolt draws on lofty inspirations of Turner and the Impressionists in his attempt to convey the sublime and ephemeral in the everyday.”

class="content__text" The Terminator Line is a moving line that separates the light and dark sides of a planetary body. Also known as the twilight zone, or blue hour. It’s the time of day that offers the most drastic fluctuations in light. My exhibition “The Terminator Line” opens @michaelreid.artbar on the 28th of July
