class="content__text" When birth is treated as a rite of passage and not a medical emergency… you can SMILE pushing your baby out! 😊🤍 📹 Mama @sierra_yogiparis 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 via @christianhypnobirthing Repost @christianhypnobirthing : ✨Euphoric birth✨ “Thank y’all so much for releasing this course! It was so beautiful. I listened to the @ChristianHypnobirthing tracks in the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy and in my early labor. Every time I would put it on, it would take me to such a peaceful place 🤍✨ It helped me lean into my intuition and listen to my body and kept fears out of the equation. My labor and birth was the most euphoric experience, start to finish. 🫶🏼” - @sierra_yogiparis Many thanks to @sierra_yogiparis for sharing this incredible birth video, and these beautiful words about our Faith-Filled Childbirth Course, and the @christianhypnobirthing app. ❤️🙏🏻 #birth #homebirth #waterbirth #normalizebirth #lifeofamidwife #laboranddelivery #firsttrimester #secondtrimester #thirdtrimester #waterbabies #waterbirthbaby #naturalbirthing #naturalbirth #fetalejectionreflex #ecstaticbirth #orgasmicbirth #physiologicbirth #physiologicalbirth #undisturbedbirth #vaginalbirth #homebirth #hospitalbirth #birthvideographer #birthvideo

class="content__text" Every time I step into a birth, it feels like I enter a different realm, like an astronaut discovering a new galaxy in a faraway space, light years away. Where time has no beginning and no end. Where impossible things become possible and indeed happen in front of our eyes. And we witness the miracle of life each time… where these gorgeous babies great us with all their wisdom while staring deeply into our souls. #birth #homebirth #waterbirth #normalizebirth #lifeofamidwife #laboranddelivery #firsttrimester #secondtrimester #thirdtrimester #waterbabies #waterbirthbaby #naturalbirthing #naturalbirth #fetalejectionreflex #ecstaticbirth #orgasmicbirth #physiologicbirth #physiologicalbirth #undisturbedbirth #vaginalbirth #homebirth

class="content__text" Did you know that just like all mammals… newborn babies are born with the innate reflux to crawl to and find the breast without assistance!?! ✣ Breast Crawl ⁣ Every newborn, when placed on her mother’s abdomen soon after birth, has the ability to find their mother’s breast all on their own. Colostrum smells like their amniotic fluid and areolas darken to become easier to see. ⁣ ⁣ ✣Reflexes Initiated⁣ Baby’s step reflex was long thought to be obsolete, but breastfeeding experts have found that this reflex allows baby to press against their parent’s abdomen to find the breast. Also, the feel of their parent’s body against baby’s chin, torso, hips, legs and feet are now known to trigger baby’s hardwired breastfeeding instincts. ⁣ ⁣ ✣ Baby-Led Timing⁣ Baby is left to find the breast on their own time, without intervention or unfamiliar hands groping the parent or the baby. ⁣ ⁣ ✣ No hat for baby⁣ Mothers and babies are wired to recognize each other’s smell. Soaking in your baby’s smell releases oxytocin and pheromones that are critical for bonding. ⁣ ⁣ ✣ Vernix left on baby ⁣ This helps moisturize and protect baby from bacteria. It also helps baby regulate their body temperature. ⁣ ⁣ Always remember: Birth Matters. So do you. ⁣ 💖: @doulaheathertaylor 🎥 @di_vegas repost: @doulaheathertaylor ⁣

class="content__text" Not every birth is perfectly posed. Some birth are raw, some births are messy, some births are long and some are QUICK!! 🚀 This repeat mama texted me @ 1:29am her water broke, knowing how fast her labors have been and the drive I had in front of me… I jumped in my car and sped up the freeway. Tripping up a low step in the dark running into the house, my arrival was alerted by a loud noise and me laughing hysterically at myself. Running back to the bathroom, I could hear her pushing. I asked her if she wanted to move to her room, she looked at me and said she wanted to rinse off in the shower. I laughed and said… “well then the baby comes in the shower”. 🚿 Determined not to birth in the shower, she quickly rinsed off, took two steps down her hall, and then another two… found the corner of her bed and pushed her 5th boy into the world at 2:22am. Less then an hour after her text! #birth #homebirth #waterbirth #normalizebirth #lifeofamidwife #laboranddelivery #firsttrimester #secondtrimester #thirdtrimester #waterbabies #waterbirthbaby #naturalbirthing #naturalbirth #fetalejectionreflex #ecstaticbirth #orgasmicbirth #physiologicbirth #physiologicalbirth #undisturbedbirth

class="content__text" This mama is such a bad ass. She knew exactly what her body was doing… the most normal physiological experience of life. Really… most of the time birth has nothing to do with a number and everything to do with just listening ❤️ Repost : @badassmotherbirther . Medical gaslighting and abuse doesn't always look and sound completely obvious. It can be subtle. It can sound and look sweet. Caring even. It can fly under the radar at times and even pass as medical care and standard of practice. Engraining it to the point where we no longer recognize it as abuse and gaslighting. -Love, Flor Cruz @_de_la_flor_ 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞, & 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭! @wildoakbirth@kjmcentire@carlychapplebirth

class="content__text" I am beyond excited and so grateful for this to be released! There has never been a more important time in history to preserve fertility for future generations. Repost: @heartandsoilsupplements 🐤 🚨If there ever was a canary in the coal mine signaling the sorry state of human health today, it would be our declining fertility. It’s so bad that sperm counts are predicted to reach zero by 2045, and 1 in 5 couples struggle to conceive. But the good news is that an animal-based diet can be one of the most powerful interventions to restore and support fertility. And we’ve seen SO many couples experience the miracle of parenthood after doing this! We believe this is such an important message that we made a mini-documentary about it. It’s called Nourished, featuring @carnivoremd2.0 and @lindseymeehleis and tells the stories of mothers and midwives who are using animal-based diets to support healthy and happy pregnancies! 🤰 Stay tuned for the premiere on 1.30.23 👀

class="content__text" In the early hours of this morning, I had the honor to be the welcoming committee of a new soul. Shortly after I left to drive home, I got a call from my dad that one of my aunts had taken her last breath. I was so quickly reminded the two most guaranteed things that we will do in this life is be born & to die. Each one of these sacred transitions requires holy space even if it not what we ever plan or envision. Regardless of how you are born… or how you die… my wish for you is this… that you are seen, you are held, and that you are loved. ❤️ Needed this oxytocin boost…. Hope you enjoy it too. ✨ 🎥 @samanthatollisonbirth via @purebirths

class="content__text" Baby’s are aware, alert and fully connected to moms experience in utero. ❤️ Many people will often hear me say that I became a midwife first because of baby’s experience at birth. Not that mom’s experience isn’t equally as important to me, because they are one unit. But…. The way that we usher these babies in will set the foundation for what I believe to be a foundation for a new earth. An earth where there is peace and heart centeredness at the synapse of all things. 🌍 Caption below by @painfreebirth ✨BONDING IN UTERO✨ We walk around unaware of this conscious life inside us, but to your baby, ALL THEY KNOW IS YOU, mama.🤯 Babies in the womb, particularly in the third trimester, have a heightened sense of spiritual, emotional and social awareness.👶 Some say they are behind the “veil,” with one foot in the spiritual real and one in the physical realm, still aware of their heavenly home from which they came. ✨ Have you felt a greater awareness of spiritual sensitivity while pregnant? Perhaps it is your baby pulling you deeper into the spirit realm with them!💫 The supple tissues of your womb is their soft home. Your heartbeat is calming and steady, always present.🫀 When mom is stressed, baby receives the same stress hormones. When mom is calm and peaceful, baby is bathed in oxytocin. In The Secret Life of the Unborn Child, Thomas Verney wrote that babies can feel even subtle differences of apathy, celebration and joy over their existence. Did you hear that? Babies know whether they are wanted or not. 😯 Pregnancy is so much more than tracking what size fruit your baby has grown to today! 🫐🍐🥭🍉 It is a spiritual dance of two beings communing with one another on a deeper plane.💞 🙋‍♀️Have you ever connected to your baby with this intention? 🙋‍♀️Have you expressed your heart toward your baby? (Did you even know they would understand?) 🙋‍♀️Have you felt their spirit reply? Take a moment to express your heart to your unborn baby. Let the feelings of love, joy, and gratitude overflow and surround your baby, because they feel everything. 📷: @sierrarosebirth

class="content__text" 3 days ‘overdue’ with twins that were a surprise until finding out there was two instead of one at her 32 week appointment. We all lovingly anxiously awaited their arrive. With bouts of start and stop labor, it felt like we had been waiting for 4 really long weeks. Finally after seeing her earlier in the office that day, she decided it was truly labor later then day. The team arrived around 9pm, entering through a heavily guarded gate and onto the Southern California Marine Base. Quietly setting up not to wake her older 2 kids, we all sat in awe as she moved her body and slid into the filling birth tub. The intensity of pushing noises filled the room, with a splash caught in the birth pool water underneath her. Within minutes her first baby crowned and with a few pushes, out he came with a very short cord as we maneuvered him around her leg. @victoria_md_birthing and I quickly looked on my phone ultrasound to see the second baby’s position who had been in a breech for the past couple weeks. She was still breech with perfect heart tones. Contractions intensified again, and the super short pulling cord of her son had stopped pulsating, so daddy cut his cord and lifted him into his hands. She quickly announced her water had broke, my hand met her perineum expected to feel a little bum, but much to our surprised, this little bum had hair and was a head, flipping head down as her water broke. Another push and out she came, straight up on to Amanda’s chest to meet her brother. This birth room with filled with nothing but love and no fear. She didn’t have to be in a an operating room because it was protocol. There was no one whisking them away from their mother and each other. It was simply one baby born, and then another. All of us in awe as we witnessed the divine beauty and strength that filled this tiny marine base house that night.
