class="content__text" We are delighted to open today, Art Night Thursday, a debut solo exhibition by artist Gaurav Gupta. Gupta utilises painting to explore the limits and depths of our sense of perception. With expressive brush marks and a range of pigmentation, his works oscillate between the abstract and pictorial, encouraging a slow contemplation of the painterly surface. With this focus on the qualities of painting that are autonomous to the medium - namely the material, visceral, and physical qualities of paint - he offers a counterpoint to our increasingly fleeting ways of looking and asks the eye to dwell.
