The FINAL episode of The Breakdown has just gone live on YouTube!! It’s all about climate solutions, have you seen it? 🎥🔥🌱 It feels SO great to get this project out into the world. A huge thank you to everyone who has watched and engaged with it so far. Making this show throughout lockdown was definitely a labour of love, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of so many amazingly talented people! A huge thanks to @waterbearnetwork for commissioning this series and to @studio11 for all their hard work bringing the episodes to life. You can watch all episodes on my YouTube channel or via WaterBear Network using the link in my bio or swipe up in my stories! 🌎

In the last few weeks we've started to become increasingly aware of how climate change is effecting wealthy countries in the global north. From devastating heatwaves to severe floods across Europe it feels as though the environmental crisis has suddenly arrived on our doorstep… however the impacts of our great fossil fuel experiment is nothing new, and the cruel reality is that those who have done the least to cause it will bear the greatest burden. You ever just feel completely overwhelmed by EVERYTHING? Have been battling anxiety on a whole new level recently. Burn out, a fall off my bicycle, stress about an upcoming project and a sense of helplessness as the world around us seems to turning into a burning inferno of madness. Anyone else? What helps you stay grounded?

Climate Crisis - Why We Have 9 Years Left To Avoid Disaster 🌎🔥 Episode 3 is now live on my YouTube channel!! Really enjoying the conversation around these episodes. I wanted to make this series because I’ve always found learning about climate change completely overwhelming and intimidating. There are so many graphs, numbers and scary facts, it’s easy to feel paralysed with fear and a sense of helplessness. My hope is that this show makes the topic a little more accessible and easier to understand, because when I’ve always believed knowledge is power. ✊🏼 A huge thanks to our partners making this show, @studio11, @earthrise.studio @waterbearnetwork and all of our amazing crew you know who you are! You can find a link to the episode in my bio and stories. I’d love to know your thoughts! 🎥🙏🏼

I have NOTHING but respect for these three men. Being a young person today is tough. Now imagine being a young person (19, 21 and 23) stood in front of millions, tasked with the challenge of scoring a penalty for your country.  To even step up to that line takes more courage, vulnerability and strength than I will have in a lifetime. Failure, fear and doubt are what makes us human, and in a strange way watching the penalties last night, I felt more connected to these hero’s than ever before. They are and always will be true role models. 👑

NEW VIDEO!! 🎥🎉 This ones a bit more spicy. We don’t hold back… 🌶 🔥⚡️ Fossil fuel companies have been lying to us. They’ve known about climate change for decades, and have buried the science in an effort to continue business as usual. In this episode, we dive into the decades of denial by @exxonmobil and other nefarious fossil fuel companies. By investing millions into concealing the science and spreading misinformation, these companies worked to confuse the public and seed doubt. Finally some time off. The last six months have been A LOT. Between running Earthrise, moving home, launching The Breakdown and working on a YouTube Originals series, I’ve pushed myself to the limit 😵 In fact, to be totally honest I feel completely burnt out and always notice my mental health is the first thing to suffer. So grateful to have a short rest with the woman I love most in the world. This is our fifth summer together. Time fliessss 🚀

Episode 1 of THE BREAKDOWN is now live on my YouTube Channel ⚡️🎥🚀. THE BREAKDOWN is a five-part film series on climate change: exploring how we got here, where we're headed, and what we can ALL do to make a difference. We kick off the series with a big picture look at the history of our planet. 🌎 We start by looking back at the laat 10,000 years of climate stability and how the discovery of ancient fossil fuels changed the course of humanity as we know it 🔥 This is an @earthrise.studio production in collaboration with the amazing @waterbearnetwork. Thanks to our incredible team of creative collaborators who worked tirelessly to bring this series to life. Episode 2 of THE BREAKDOWN is now live on @waterbearnetwork!! ⚡️ This episode explores the role of fossil fuel companies in denying the science around climate change and investing millions into misinformation campaigns to confuse the public and seed doubt. ☠️ This was one of the most surprising and eye opening episodes to write as I genuinely had no idea of the scale of denial until researching it. 📝 A huge thank you to Niaomi Oreskes, David Wallace-Wells and @mary.heglar for contributing to this episode. You can watch via the link in my bio. 👆🏼 If WaterBear isn’t available on your country yet don’t worry as we’ll be releasing the episodes on YouTube in two weeks time.🎥 🔥

Home is where the heart is. 🏠❤️ This year, in the midst of a pandemic, we found joy in the quiet moments shared together with each other and our loved ones. Whether in the comfort of home, our daily ventures into nature, we learnt to appreciate the small things. We are sharing some of those personal moments through our own eyes, in the new #LifeisGoodFilm_LG by @lg_global directed by one of our favourite directors @jacksontisi. ⚡️ It is truly an honour to be collaborating with him. You can also take part, sharing your own story by submitting footage for the film project, which will be weaved into the final film and you’ll get the chance to win an LG gram. If you want to get involved, the entry period ends on July 4, 2021 at 11:59 p.m (EDT). #LifeisGood #LifeisGoodFilm_LG #LG #Film #JacksonTisi #Ad Cinematography by the one and only @timtothewild Music by the amazing @jo_paterson

(SOUND ON) In 2019, alongside @aliceaedy and @timtothewild, I had a chance to join the @bosfoundation and make a short film following the release of an orangutan back into the wild. 🦧 It’s no secret the orangutans are under threat. In fact, over the past 50 years, Bornean orangutan populations have declined by 80% making them now critically endangered. This is due mostly to the loss of their habitat which has disappeared by over 50% in just the last 20 years. Hunting, illegal logging, mining and agriculture all threaten the existence of the orangutan but there is one thing above all that threatens the existence of the orangutan; the unsustainable planting of Palm Oil. As a result, today the greatest threat that orangutans face is habitat destruction and so BOSF is one of many organizations that are working to protect the orangutans by rehabilitating them and eventually returning them to their forest homes. It was incredible to see the work of this amazing organization firsthand. If you would like to find out more or support them in any way you can do so via the link in my bio! ⚡️
