class="content__text" Have you ever 😘 the #BlarneyStone? #BlarneyCastle (and its famous Blarney Stone) are arguably one of Ireland's best-known tourist attractions 👀 There's plenty to see and do here from one of the only Poison Gardens in Ireland and the Wishing Steps to the castle, the Witch's Kitchen, the Dungeon and the world-famous Blarney Stone 😘 #TheIrishRoadTrip Photos via Shutterstock

class="content__text" Here’s what it’s like at the summit of Ireland’s highest mountain, #Carrauntoohill, on a clear day 😮 Soaring up to 3,407 ft, Carrauntoohil is the highest point on the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks mountain range in the south-west of #Ireland ⛰ Climbing Carrauntoohil should ONLY be attempted by experienced climbers or by those accompanied by a guide (@kerryclimbing.ie offer guided hikes) ⛔️ The conditions here can change in an instant and dozens of climbers need to be rescued from Carrauntoohil every year. #TheIrishRoadTrip Footage licensed from Shutterstock

class="content__text" You’ll find two of the most breath-taking beaches in #Ireland a short spin from #RoundstoneVillage in #Connemara in #Galway 😍 The glorious #GurteenBay and #DogsBay sit back to back and, although they get painfully busy during summer, they’re relatively quiet during the off season 🌊 The water here is crystal clear and more like something you’d see in a land far more tropical 🏖️☀️ Tag someone that needs to join you for a saunter here 🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♀️ #TheIrishRoadTrip Footage licensed via Shutterstock

class="content__text" A bucket list road trip around #Ireland 🚙🗺️📍 If you had 18 days to drive right the way around #Ireland, who’d you have ridin’ shotgun with you and what stops would be at the top of your list? 🇮🇪 Although 18 days would only scratch the surface, it’d give you a good taste of Ireland’s coastal counties… if the weather played ball ⚽️ #TheIrishRoadTrip

class="content__text" A little slice of ‘hidden’ #Ireland 😮 Welcome to #GriananofAileach - a Neolithic hillfort finely plonked on the #InishowenPeninsula in #Donegal 🗻 Its origins date back to 1700 BC and it is linked to the mythical #TuathaDeDanann 🧝‍♀️ The fort was built and rebuilt over the years, with the more recent remnants of the walls from when the fort was used as the seat of the rulers of the ancient #KingdomofAileach 👑 Excavations on the site occurred throughout the 19th century when remnants of a Christian church, as well as an even earlier burial mound, were found 🔔 Over the course of the 1870s, a doctor from #Derry, Walter Bernard, painstakingly restored #GriananofAileach to its current, magnificent state. Tag someone that needs to join you here 💪 Footage by Lukassek licensed via Shutterstock #TheIrishRoadTrip

class="content__text" Although you’ll often hear it referred to as ‘the Serpent’s Lair’ and ‘ #TheWormhole’, the official name for one of the most unique attractions on the #AranIslands is ‘Poll na bPeist’ 🐍🐍 You’ll find Poll na bPeist around 1.6km south of the magnificent cliffside fort of #DunAonghasa, on the west side of #InisMor Island 🗺️ Although the finely-cut edges would lead you to believe that this is a man-made swimming pool, it was in fact formed naturally 😯 Poll na bPeist has a number of underground channels which connect to the ocean. When the tide is in, water rushes into the hole via an underground cave and forces the water over the edges, filling the hole from above 🌊 Although you’ll see pictures online of people swimming here, it’s STRONGLY advised that you avoid entering the water at Poll na bPeist ⛔️ Footage licensed through Shutterstock #TheIrishRoadTrip

class="content__text" Because the #WildAtlanticWay gets all of the attention… 🗺️ If there was a long distance driving route like the #WildAtlanticWay that took you along the coast from Cork City and up along the #CausewayCoast to Portrush 🚴‍♀️🚗🚴‍♀️, who would you tackle it with? Tag them in the comments below! 🥷 Although there’s no ‘official’ route like this, you could easily do it and it’d take you to some of Ireland’s more overlooked counties like #Down, #Waterford and parts of the mighty #BoyneValley 😎 We’ve plotted some of the more notable towns and attractions along the way, but they’re only the tip of the iceberg ❄️🧊 This is a rough map and locations aren’t precise. #TheIrishRoadTrip

class="content__text" The walk up to the #CavesOfKeash in #Sligo treats you to some glorious scenery when the weathers fine 🌞☀️🌞 It’s a short enough trail and it only takes around 20 minutes to reach the caves from the little parking area nearby 🚗🚴‍♀️ However….. she’s a shteep one, as you’ll gather from the lovely bit of heavy breathing in this video… 😮‍💨😮‍💨 This is one of ennnnnndless walks in Sligo that are well worth a bash. Tag someone that needs to tackle this ramble with you! 💪 #TheIrishRoadTrip
