Pair it with a bit of the @mineralfusion taupe eyeliner in Rough and the @surratt Relevée volumizing mascara for a softly romantic eye that has a subtle wow factor. The brow pencil from @kimikobeauty in Coffee gave my brows some life and structure. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the rest of my face I used the @makeupbymario Soft Sculpting Stick in Light/Medium to add a bit of a sun kissed feeling to my skin and swiped on the @lanolips Tinted Lip Balm in Rose for an easy soft pink lip. class="content__text" Three Things on Thursday - Friday Edition 😬 @missjobaker recently launched a line called @bakeupbeauty eupcosmetics and sent me these lovely mini palettes. Why don’t brands do more mini palettes like this? It’s really all you need. Anyhoo, these colors are beautifully pigmented and in super fun shades and i love all three palettes so so so much. Another launch from an industry professional is @ksandco from brow guru @kristiestreicher from @striiike . The brow gels are have a tint and aren’t loaded up with pigment which in my opinion makes the brows look too matte. These gels add color to your brows that’s totally unclockable as makeup. Her brow pens have ultra thin brushes and come in three shades. Literally the perfect brow products. My last pick is from a brand called @14ecosmetics . They make my favorite tinted foundation - hands down - minimal coverage in a great range of colors. They just released this lip sheer and the color lives up to its name. class="content__text" You know, some days just feel better than others. This kind soul took time out of their day to send me a DM about @fionastilesbeauty which folded years ago at this point. Here she is, 6+ years later thinking about something I made and caring enough about my products to send me a message. Unfortunately for me, my brand launched in the middle of Kylie fever - heavy foundation, cut creases and stacked lashes. No one heard me whispering while everyone else was screaming. So glad there’s a vibe shift in makeup and brands like @merit@westmanatelier and @rhode who have a love for skin texture and realistic beauty have their voices heard in the beauty space. I get these types of DM’s every few months, people asking me if/when I’ll relaunch, telling me how much they loved my products, how they hoard what they still have and only use it on special occasions. My timing wasn’t right, our marketing was unsuccessful, but I made nice things and I’m glad people noticed. The real moral of this story is that words matter, kindness matters and I’m always grateful when people reach out. It takes the sting off my brand no longer being here. class="content__text" THIS JUST IN: (from Reed Clarke founder | resident Beauty Guru @fionastiles wearing her favorite red lip 212 from @emilieheathe ) How to wear a red lip: A: Like you mean it.  End of lesson.  While I’m kind of kidding, I’m kind of not. Lots of folks are nervous about wearing a red lip, but I think it looks chic on pretty much everyone, the key is finding the right balance with the rest of your look. My favorite makeup pairing is a good opaque red lip, glowy skin, a touch of bronzer and lashings of mascara. There are no steadfast rules, but generally I lean into a “less is more“, French girl vibes kind of feeling. But the best way to wear a red lip is to just own it.  A few tips: Find the right red for you & get a lip liner that matches so you can get a sharp edge every time. Have a flat, rectangular eyeliner brush and a bit of concealer on standby (and/or a very pointy cotton bud) for any corrections and to sharpen the line if it’s wobbly. Micellar water and that handy pointy cotton bud if it’s a big correction. A steady hand is also helpful so have a seat, grab a mirror and give yourself the time you need to apply it perfectly.  Red lips command attention, even when worn casually, so get ready to turn a few heads and enjoy the lingering looks. Cause you’re gonna look great. 💋

class="content__text" Here’s a still from the video I posted yesterday about wearing false individual lashes (I don’t have them on the camera left eye, only the right so you can see the difference). These are from @darkswanofdenmark and are my red carpet go-to…they’re perfectly tapered and spaced, which is what makes them so believable. I have good lashes but I also have hooded eyes and I can get a lift from adding a few of these individuals to the outer half of my eye that mascara just can’t do. class="content__text" Think you can’t wear false lashes? I promise you can - even in the daytime. Here’s a soft, pretty look with a few bells and whistles, like a shimmery shadow and half a dozen individuals lashes - but I can still walk out the door in the daytime without feeling overdone. The key is in the ingredients. Read on for deets: My favorite concealer of the moment is the @sisleyparisofficial Stylo Lumière under eye concealer, blended out with the @surratt Perfectioniste Complexion brush. You may not think you can wear a fuchsia blush, but I promise you can. This one is the @ereperezcosmetics Carrot Color Pot in “Hey”. Super cheery and flattering on so many skin tones. The 75 Degree palette from @roenbeauty has such pretty warm russet tones. I used 3 shades from the palettes on this eye, and used my favorite daytime eyeliner - the taupe shade called “Rough” from @mineralfusion . So perfect in the waterline for a bit of soft sexiness. I’ve gone through a dozen of these pencils at least. @darkswanofdenmark makes the best individual lashes. Full stop. Period. End of story. I have hooded eyes and adding a few of these adds lift that no mascara can ever do. All while remaining undetectable. Hot tip: Use the back side of your tweezers to push the lashes into place. These tweezers are from @rubis_switzerland and are basically the Rolls Royce of tweezers. Use them once and you’ll never go back. The Relevée mascara from @surratt makes them blend seamlessly with your own lashes. I have a very defined philtrum (cupids bow) so there’s no way I can overline my top lip in the middle, but I cheat up the sides on top and bottom, leaving my cupids bow and the center of my bottom lip unlined. The @kimikobeauty lipliner in “Kata” is a gorgeous cool pink that defines my lips without looking too makeup-y. A swipe of the @emilieheathe lipstick in “Mude” is the perfect topper.
