Good news, here’s a start to a new chapter. Bad news, koalas are now officially recognised as endangered. Like… imagine 30 years from now and you tell your grandkids, oh there used to be this really cute animal called the koala. BUT humanity killed them all because of land and deforestation greed. It’s happening to the rhinos, and now the koalas. So, the good news is that for myself, it’s time for a shift. I’m activity getting involved in a new business around koalas with a simple but effective way to get the message of saving koalas into the mainstream and culture of society. It’ll be a dramatic industry shift for me, but I’m so excited for it. That’s what’s being going on behind the scenes with my lack of posting and travel. Updates and release soon.

I want to pay people in crypto to care for animals in exchange for content. Trying to figure out the mechanics of that along side the launch of my NFT project as part of its community impact. Basically a platform to bond this community together and allow you to get to know and help each other outside of Instagram. ⁣ ⁣ Hear me out, the buzz and confusion around word 'NFT', please listen to my understanding of it, as it should hopefully intrigue you.  Think of an NFT as an everlasting ticket. If you own the NFT, then you can claim or freely recieve anything the creator offers to it's holders, E.g. events, trips, experiences, physical and digital products, or services. Free to the NFT owners. This is called utility, as 'if I buy the NFT what can it do for me? or what do I get?' ⁣ ⁣ My initial plan is to release a collection of ~300 beautifully unique quokka photos that span over 10 years of my experiences hanging out with quokkas. Calling them 'Adorables NFTs'. They'll be on the Eth network and launch date is getting close. ⁣ ⁣ It's utility, physical and digital products, games and payment in exchange for caring for animals in real life. We need writers to publish news articles to hit international press about the massacre of dogs in Turkey; that's happening right now as you read this. ⁣ ⁣ If you're a writer, or have connections to different publishers, please consider creating a story about the animal cruelty happening to dogs in Turkey today. Be the voice for these poor dogs to get international media attention.⁣ ⁣ The Turkish government is putting pressure on people who own several now ‘banned dog breeds’. By law, owners have to neuter and government registered their dog by January 14th. But that’s too expensive for people and there’s not enough time to complete that process. With that gov pressure, people are abandoning their dogs on the streets. ⁣ ⁣ Some breeds including pitbull and American Staffie (falsely known as aggressive dogs ) are forbidden to exist in Turkey, so you can’t own them as your pet. Vet clinics are not allowed to give service to those breeds, and you'll be fined if caught with those breeds.⁣ Puppies are being killed because they are too fragile to be neutered and also pregnant dogs are forced to get abortions. Then there are old dogs who are too weak to go under anaesthesia because this can kill them. ⁣ ⁣ Abandoned or rejected dogs are rounded up and sent to a life in prison, for just existing. Yes it’s called a ‘shelter’, but they are in terrible conditions. Inadequate food or care. The dogs are left to starve or die a slow lonely death. Without even being given any chance of adoption after entering the shelter. ⁣ ⁣ Worst of all, municipalities are using the easiest way to get rid of dogs, by bury them alive. Smothering dogs in plastic bags and burying them alive. Hiding the cruel acts from the public For healthy street dogs, the dog catchers forcibly drag and beat the dogs down. There currently aren’t enough shelters to house them all. A follow up to say thank you. "Let me tell you what is going on in Türkey. There is an illegal movement of many local municipalities against all stray animals esp dogs. It all began with 2 pittbulls (which were mistreated to fight, by their owners) have attacked and hurt a 4yo girl in one of the cities. ⁣ ⁣ This was wrong, but the gov. are making the stray animals a scapegoat of this what happened. Calling the mun.s to collect all stray animals into "so called shelters" which is very wrong. It simply means slaughtering. The NGOs (like @pawguard and @sohaykodernegi) are fighting back on illegal operations with the help of lawyers and the support of the bar.⁣ ⁣ However, in some parts of the public, it has turned into a lunacy, like a witch hunt against stray dogs. So we are trying to make our gov. calm this mishappening under the light of our law, which says "the stray animals belong to the streets, as long as they have been sterilized and vaccinated by the mun.s and are not violating the city life." ⁣ ⁣ So the hashtag #sokakhayvanlarısahipsizdeğil is reflecting this public call for the gov. Warning: Dogs need your voice in Turkey. Turkish gov are currently incarcerating stray dogs into municipality run "shelters". Not at all like the shelters you imagine, They're actually dog prisons. Neglected and malnourished, left to die slowly. Images and videos like this make me feel helpless, as all we can do is watch. There has to be another way, with community engagement give the dogs a natural habitat to be free where they feel safe and loved. That along with neutering will rehabilitate them. The mission is to make saving wildlife mainstream. I've come to learn that most people don't care about wildlife because the problems that wildlife face does not affect them.  What motivates people is finance, fashion, cosmetics, sports, sex, cars, health, food, all the stuff that makes your life better. The only thing you can really do is make the "saving" of wildlife action of a financial donation as a by product of your product/service sales to a chairty or org. So I've been quietly focusing on businesses to make your life better, with the focus on saving wildlife. 🐾🐻🐨 coming soon. If you're thinking of launching a business, give back to what fulfils you.
