class="content__text" These days mark the first anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since then, millions of refugees have arrived in Poland, where I spent several days on assignment for @natgeo and @nytimes , trying to document the stories of refugees fleeing from the Russian bombing. What I witnessed back then, was an enormous flow of shocked, unarmed people, most of them women and children, who had to leave everything overnight, not knowing if they will ever see their homes and relatives again.
