Today, we are announcing our finalists from the Study UK Alumni Awards #ScienceAndSustainabilityAwards.

Mona Allouba, graduate of @imperialcollegelondon

Doctor Mona is a Post-Doctoral Researcher and Manager of the Genetics and Genomics unit at Aswan Heart Centre (AHC). She completed her PhD studies in Cardiovascular Clinical Research Medicine at Imperial College London in collaboration with AHC in 2020. Her research focuses on identifying the genetic determinants of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in the Egyptian population with the aim to improve diagnosis, disease management and potentially treatment of this life-threatening disease.

Hashem Taher, graduate of @cardiffuni

During his PhD at the University of East London (UEL), Hashem worked on the Mayor of London's plan to make London the greenest city in the world, and it was the main topic of his PhD. Hashem's environmental studies were the cornerstone to making London the biggest national park in the world 2050, in collaboration with Greater London Authority, Transport for London, Zaha Hadid Architects, University of East London (UEL) and ENVI-met (Germany). 

Mohamed El-Moghazi, graduate of @UniversityOfStrathclyde

Doctor Mohamed has published myriad papers in esteemed conferences and prestigious journals and supervised many master’s theses and PhD dissertations on spectrum affairs. He published the book The International Radio Regulations: The Case for Reform, in 2021. He is also the founder of the Global Telecom Policy Researchers Network (GTPRN), a non-profit initiative and research society for researchers in the field of telecommunications policy.
