I'm dealing with A LOT of serious medical issues right now and I have been sick since November 2021, but I pushed through it because I had the magazine coming out and the Returning Citizens event to do. Well, on May 18th my body said, "Since you won't sit down and rest, I got you." Scared my family and me when my body shut down and I was found unresponsive on my bedroom floor. I had to be rushed to the ER by ambulance. I have been in and out of the ER since they, unable to see my PCP until August. I am not able to be on IG lives at the moment as I'm out of breath a lot. I appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers. All that having been said, Black Connections is not a non-profit; this is my 9-5 job. I have worked my butt off for our community because I believe in us and love us. Being out of commission is not easy for me. I'm used to being the one always there for other people.
