🚆 @elona explains Japan trains are next level 🤯🚂 You would think that this is an expensive, luxury experience but, believe it or not, it’s just a special version of an express train. It’s called the “Aoniyoshi” Sightseeing Limited Express and you can take it between Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka. It costs an additional $5 to your regular one way fare (on the Kyoto-Nara line) and the ride is ~40 minutes. You can purchase tickets on the Kintetsu website or at the ticket counter in the station. Seats A&B are facing each other, while C&D are angled towards the window. Both options come with an epic window view! Car number 2 also has suites for groups of four. If you’re traveling solo, you would have to book two “twin” seats (for example an adult and a child seat) because they don’t sell individual tickets. It’s still worth it for what it is, in my opinion 🙂 There are actually many epic and unique train journeys that you can do throughout Japan. Especially short sightseeing ones. To be clear, the aggression is not by Russia … but by the people (or person) in power. ⁣ ⁣ Our history goes back a thousand years, and Russian civilization more or less began in what is today’s Ukraine.⁣ ⁣ Ukraine became an independent state in 1991 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Since then, it’s been caught in a tug of war between Russia and the West. ⁣ ⁣ Yes, there are many people who associate closely with Russia (generally in the East and South) - but there are even more people who do not. ⁣ ⁣ Putin openly doesn’t believe Ukraine is a legitimate country. For him, Ukraine is a part of a greater Russian empire that is his destiny to resurrect. So much so that Russia literally came to parts of Ukraine and offered Ukrainian citizens Russian passports and acknowledged them independent. ⁣ ⁣ So what do we do? Hand off the areas of Ukraine where people want closer ties with Russia? ⁣ ⁣ I am no military expert, but I am quite confident that the saying “Give Them an Inch and They Take a Mile” fits well here.
