Pics are from #Dadu, #Qambar, #Umarkot, #Nawabshah & #Larkana - we’re distributing food, drinking water, shoes, baby clothes, baby formula and baby beds with mosquito nets this #October to women, children and expecting mothers (the most vulnerable). class="content__text" With figures exceeding 33 million people in need - the State is overwhelmed with this ongoing calamity & request everyone to contribute in humanitarian aid & relief items (food, tents, mosquito nets, medicine, clothes & sanitation kits for women). I don’t believe in publicising charity and aid work (flood victims are NOT photo ops) but apparently my fav internet trolls have translated that to mean I haven’t contributed. Here is footage from just the last 7 days. Purchased everything from #Karachi myself & transported 10,000KG of dry ration food to Shaheed Benazirabad (district declared the most calamity hit in #Sindh) along with mosquito nets and tents. I could privately only source & purchase 300 family tents due to lack of availability (need in Sindh alone exceeds 1 million). Also sent 5000KG of uncooked food to #Larkana for women & children with mosquito nets. Each ration bag was custom ordered for a family for one month. A lot of areas prefer cooked food but due to transportation limits (took more than 30 hours to reach certain areas - can see the state of roads and infrastructure in video) I was only able to rely on uncooked items. Finally sent 2500KG to #Mirpurkhas thanks to @guddupakistani who sent me a personal message requesting & also volunteered to supervise distribution. The need in each area is SO much more but every single contribution helps. People have lost everything - their homes, their crops, their animals & entire livelihoods. They are also vulnerable to water & mosquito borne disease. 23 out of 30 districts in #Sindh alone are declared calamity hit with kilometres of stagnant water everywhere with nowhere to go and only more rain expected this month. Sincerely hope we can stop blame game debate for political advantages and instead help confront the enormous humanitarian crisis that this is & will continue to be. Appeal to everyone to keep giving - whether it’s individual capacity, NGO or Gov - people are desperate, hungry & vulnerable 💔 #TogetherWeCan #PakistanFloods #ClimateCrisis #PrayForThePeopleOfPakistan 🤲
