CARM II, the follow up to CARM's celebrated self-titled debut, will be out October 21 with 37d03d and available for preorder on CD and LP. Once again produced by Ryan Olson, the album is a genre-defying, heartfelt exploration of the possibilities in provocative music-making, providing a homespace for a profound variety of voices.

Check out the video for “More and More,” co-written by Edie Brickell, filmed in Montauk with director Graham Tolbert. Edie says “CJ’s trumpet melodies and phrases inspired 'More and More.' I just listened to him and followed his lead, trusted what came to mind, and sang it. It all flowed from his music.” The song also features Nadia Sirota on viola and bassist Jim Anton.

The b-side “Essex Girl” features guitar and banjo from Kristian Matsson, with Sean Carey on drums, bassist Cole Davis, violinist Tim Fain, and cellist Gabe Cabezas.

“Here’s a sound I promise you’ve never heard.”

Thank you CJ!

The album also features contributions from a ton of friends, including Justin Vernon, Gabriella Smith and Sid Sriram amongst many others. The album cover painting was made by the excellent painter Nick Weber, CARM photo by Shervin Lainez. Check out CARM on tour this fall.
