Showpo just launched our first unisex sweats collection, developed with our charity partner @thehungerprojectau with 100% of the profits going towards their fight against world hunger and poverty. It’s a relationship that goes back four years, starting with our Martin Place sample sales! With covid, we switched up our strategy and now we’re welcoming this very cosy range of hoodies, trackpants and tees. What really resonates with me about The Hunger Project’s work is how they look at people living with hunger not as a problem to fix, but as the solution to the world hunger problem. A big focus for them is sustainable, grassroots initiatives often with women at the centre. I’m particularly inspired by how they empower women in these communities through microfinance loans and small business to break the poverty cycle.
