Charlie Watts è il batterista che piace a me: poca scena, tanta resa. Elegante ed efficace, rock dentro senza bisogno di esserlo forzatamente fuori. Tutte le volte che l’ho incontrato, ho scherzato con lui sulla pazienza che ci vuole ad essere in mezzo a Mick Jagger e Keith Richards, praticamente una candidatura alla beatificazione.
