Here are my top 5 design features in our newly built house I absolute love and would do over and over again. Here’s why and how 🪚⤵️

️⃣ automatic curtains for our 6 meter high ceiling. It is nearly impossible to have curtains in this length and open them without being it a pain in the ass. We opted for an electric system and it has been smooth sailing ever since.
️⃣ adding a vide to your home. It gives so much light to your home. Also, we were used to living in a loft. This design choice really makes the entire house feel like a connected space.
️⃣ don’t compromise on your wishes in the kitchen! We wanted a wine fridge, but our kitchen plan did not provide the space. So I researched and came up with a smaller wine fridge. This one is a 30cm one, which is smaller than your usual fridge and therefore fitted our plans.
️⃣ Choose mass product systems as a budget friendly option for your closets. We got 10 to 15k quotes for a 4+ meter closet. Which was way more than I was willing to spend. We went with this one from IKEA which set us back just under 3k. We added the baseboard under the closet to give it a built in look. On the right side we did not have enough space for a 1 meter closet. We opted for a corner piece (75cm) used the left door normally and sawed the ends of the right door so it fit. The right door is not usable but you don’t see that! I feels like a high end built in closet.
️⃣ do something different in your bathroom! Design it yourself. We opted for west to east faucets, purely out of aesthetics. I love it and it fits our narrow but long sink perfectly. Also, these faucets are kitchen faucets! Does it matter? Nope!
