class="content__text" Something I love about bluegrass music is how it brings people together. I grew up going to bluegrass jams and festivals with my dad and will always cherish those early memories of playing songs around a campfire and making lifelong friends. Coming out of the isolating year that was 2020 I missed the communal spirit of the music I grew up with and set out to write songs that I hoped could bring people together like the songs I grew up singing. Making Crooked Tree felt like throwing a big jam session with so many musical friends and heroes. I was incredibly honored to feel the love back from the bluegrass community last night when I won Best Bluegrass Album. Thank you to my music family who helped me write the songs on Crooked Tree, and played and sang them with me over the past two years ❤️ I could have never imagined that making this record would bring me to the Grammys as a Best New Artist nominee as well!
