This is Rin Tin Tin, and he is one of the sweetest cats I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at the @bloomingtonanimalshelter and he is having trouble finding the perfect home. He is incredibly affectionate and dog-like, and he even likes car rides! He reminds me so much of my very first cat, Rosco. Just like Rosco, he is FIV positive, so he needs to be an only-cat, or with other FIV positive cats, and needs to stay indoors. He has been adopted and returned to the shelter a few times in the past two years, and that’s because he has trouble going in the litter box (probably due to trauma earlier in his life). Lil BUB wasn’t able to take herself to the litter box either, so as someone that has cared for a special needs pet that has litter box issues, I can say firsthand that it’s not as bad as it seems, so long as you don’t have the expectation that they will go on their own. It’s not much different than having to walk a dog. I just took BUB to the litter box 2-3 three times a day so she could use the bathroom, and that was that. Like BUB, Rin Tin Tin is an incredibly sweet cat that deserves a good caring home.
