 God is Awesome!!!

“I’ve never felt comfortable praying publicly because I just can’t seem to express myself fully with others around me.”

I’ve noticed that I haven’t been able to pray quietly for sometime now and I feel more comfortable praying in my local IGBO dialect. This is not because I have any issues praying in English but I was raised by a woman who praised God non-stop in Igbo language. I grew up seeing her pour her worship to God out in Igbo.

I can never seem to find the exact English words to carry the depth of meaning like my mother tongue does. Like the popular African writer Ngugi wa Thiong’o said in his book decolonizing the mind, African dialect looses its potency when translated to English.

How can I directly interpret ‘Ebube Dike’ or ‘Chi Umu Luke Ezeimo’ or ‘Nwoke di ebube’

I’ve also begun to worship more than I pray. Thanksgiving is the Password that unlocks closed doors.

I think too often we forget to say Thank you Lord. Let’s normalize not asking God for anything sometimes and just spend time saying ‘Thank you’ instead.

Just say Thank You Lord Non Stop and Worship Him!

Just say Thank You.

Thank you for everything Lord, for everything I lost. I wept when it happened but now I see that it had to go for me to be here today. It wasn’t for me, and what is for me will always stay.💯

Thank you Jesus. Till my last day, my very last day I will sing your praise❤️

Worshiping in any local dialect does it for me. I don’t even need to understand what is said. I just worship and say Thank you Jesus!
