class="content__text" Last few weeks have been very difficult because I had to face the fact that it was time for my oldest fur baby to leave this world at 28 & half years old. My heart is broken 💔 We’ve been together since I was 10 years old. She was an amazing spirit, truly one of a kind. Her force & power was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.. even though she was considered one of the smallest icelandic horses no one could beat us in a race.🐎 She had this power that I could best describe like a car with turbo. When you’re going as fast as you possible can imagine, she could then explode even faster. She was so wise and we’ve been through so many things together, won multiple competitions and been to many different places, as I moved from Ísafjörður to Reykjavík, we had each other. In our 20+ years together I never once fell off her back while riding. I’ve always wondered throughout the years why & how that was even possible… whenever I jumped on her back we were like one. We communicated through feelings. Even though she was a challenge to begin with, very little tamed & I was only a child she was always so gentle with me. I remember when I was riding probably our first winter and an airplane flew across the sky.. she was so scared she jumped over fences & ran off with me 😆 And another time in 2012 we were racing in the valley, just for fun like every other day, there was a hole on the road and we both went 360 circle .. I flew meters ahead and landed on my head, she stood up and walked over to me with blood running down her nose. She was very concerned.. but we were both fine thank god. That was the only time I could consider falling off but that barely counts because she fell too 😅 The thing is I know she loved me because she took care of me in so many ways. Even though I’ve been crying almost every day of December I know she’s in a better place, across the rainbow bridge in summer land united with her best friend🐴🐴 I’m forever grateful for the years & she will forever be in my heart ❤️🥹 Gerpla 1994-2022 🕊 #spirit
