In my career as a forest scientist, Corporate CEO and an entrepreneur, I’ve had the privilege of traveling around the world including my country Ghana. Unfortunately or fortunately I’ve seen the good, bad and the ugly, I’ve seen beautiful natural serene environments totally destroyed and I’ve seen totally destroyed environments turned into world class serene natural environments serving societal economic, social and developmental needs Today I’m proud I made a choice to be part of the latter to attempt to “ build a world class environmentally conscious hospitality brand that brings people closer to nature This special award indicates that society appreciates the impact that the Safari brand has made in relation to the: -Over 4,000 direct and indirect jobs created in the country; -training and upgrading of youth skills -opening up business links to third party business people in real estate, farmers, fishermen, crafts men, artists, entertainers, suppliers of various products and services -payments of over 50 million cedis to tax authorities, pension schemes, local/central government and other institutions -winning every single category of award nominated locally, nationally or internationally and making an impressive over 75% occupancy rate in a pandemic period I sincerely thank the state for this award, special thanks to my best friend and partner Mr Richard Nsenkyire and his family, my entire family, friends, landowners and communities living around our estates, all staff and third party companies, our financial bankers (GCB) and everyone who has experienced or been impacted by the Safari brands “ good, bad or the ugly.
