When Bebe Vio was 11 year old, she was diagnosed with rare form of meningitis that resulted in the amputation of her legs below the knee and arms from the elbow. Today, the 25-year-old is the most dominant wheelchair fencer in the world, collecting two Paralympic gold medals and three consecutive World Championships. And now that her influence has a global reach, Bebe is focused on paving a way for physically impaired kids to experience a new world of opportunity through sport.
