Guided by 6 crayon drawings dated 1972, cc-tapis developed a custom color palette from Perriand’s sketches, dyed by hand in the cc-tapis atelier. class="content__text" ✨ Les Arcs Collection by Charlotte Perriand Imagined by French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand as woven panneaux ouvrants dated 1972 for the Les Arcs 1600 ski station and untouched for half a century, Les Arcs becomes today a collection of hand-knotted rugs. Produced at the cc-tapis Atelier in Nepal, the Les Arcs Collection was presented on the occasion of Paris Design Week 2023, in an exhibition celebrating Perriand’s unpublished archives and her mastery of color. class="content__text" ✨An encounter with Charlotte Perriand Charlotte Perriand and her never before seen archival materials. Pioneer of the 20th century, Charlotte Perriand is one of the most influential French designers and architects who changed the world of interiors, building and furniture. Exploring the designer’s use of colour throughout her artistic studies and career, cc-tapis presents the new Les Arcs collection of rugs in an exhibition including personal effects such as working tools and illustrations from the late 1920s. A demonstration of her inherent understanding of colour as a harmonious graphic device. The rugs, the original sketches and unseen archives are now on exhibition: 17—22 January

class="content__text" ✨An encounter with Charlotte Perriand . An original drawing by Charlotte Perriand, one of 6 which have remained unseen in the Charlotte Perriand archives for over 50 years. Created in 1972 and originally destined for the interiors of the Les Arcs 1600 ski resort in France, due to budget constraints the designs were never realized. Now in 2023 cc-tapis has brought them to life in the exhibition “An encounter with Charlotte Perrriand”. The rugs, the original sketches and unseen archives are now on exhibition: 17—22 January

. cc-tapis unveils a new creative chapter in its collaboration with @apartamentostudios with a print Campaign framed by photographer @davidluraschi after scenarios written by Greek Oscar-nominated screenwriter Efthimis Filippou. Three storylines where cc-tapis rugs become a space for action, in an atypical dialogue with human and non-human characters.

 EXT. PORTICO – DAY  Under a portico – the sea visible in the distance, or not – stands a BOY of around four who looks 15. There’s a rug under his feet. The boy seems sad but isn’t really. Loud laughter is heard coming from afar.  FOUR-YEAR-OLD BOY  Our village is sited by the sea. The village cemetery covers an area larger than the village itself. There are more graves than dead people, more robbers than upstanding citizens, more doctors than patients, more hunters than blackbirds, more vases than garden flowers, more boats than fishermen, more canes than lame villagers, fewer child basketball players than village basketball courts, fewer dogs than their masters, more loaves than hungry mouths, and fewer pregnant women than future fathers.
